<description>i heard you think and share your thoughts friday eve. i wish i came across this before then so i could actually exchange a word on the issues you raise here in this space...that night was inspiring. it grounded me, i have been seeking people who understand what i'm thinking about...patterns can be tricky...i guess i just want to say thank you for coming out there...good publicity...this has just become my 'third space' , that of safety and understanding between strangers.

<description>Such a funny thought. Children are most protective of their information. Of course they're unproblematized, but that's the result of pervasive manipulation by the geratricity. Children may not realize they're being observed, but they tend to have strong opinions when they realize what's going on.

<description>oooh - I can't wait to read this. As usual, our work is somehow Volcan-mindmelded - I'm just now working on revisions on a paper exploring the design and political/social dimensions of "kiddie" cell phones (e.g. Migo and Firefly) :)

<description>Reading between your post and Alison's there is this interesting "religion" theme that keeps coming back in various ways. Alison describes the addresses by Jesse Jackson and Bill Moyers as akin to being in church and then you're talking about faith-based decision making, is this the region you are presently visiting coming through in your writing? Or perhaps media is gaining in importance, but not necessarily as a primarily secular vehicle?

Anyways, just thought I'd point it out - Amen and pass the pickles.
